about

Morning at Molokai
This song starts with me having this feeling of the connectedness with humanity and the pain and hunger in the world. It is one of my goals in life to try to save enough money from personal self-sacrifice giving up some of my discretionary income like travel and alcohol in the attempt to aid people in the form of charity.
There was a time period I remember sometime in the summer where I tried to give a large sum of money away and had a hard time telling my mom about it and in the end there was a great deal of retribution from all my family members for doing it. I think I got even more pushback then if I would of spent the money on a vacation or alcohol.
The pre chorus starts with each day is a new day and that many people’s savings are gone and they can feel locked financially. The government sometimes overlooks the problem. Specifically speaking on the situation of homelessness, employers and businesses seem to be focused on profit as well as tax avoidance. This is normal consumer behavior no entity likes to lose money. The fact is that homelessness is not the fault of business owners, but neither is having customers with enough money and demand to afford and choose their product. We must work together to remedy the problem. People living in poverty often understand the truth of their situation but are too ashamed to ask for help. They often have to abide by unsafe working conditions and low pay especially in developing nations.
The chorus is about being on an island and I think everyone has faced it one time or another because of a particular characteristic people don’t identify with. Whatever the reason I can feel isolated sometimes in my personal life. But in this situation I am particularly focused on poverty. Impoverished people can feel like they are on an island. Families cut them off because they have unsecured debt like credit card debt and any inheritance that is directed to them would go to debt collectors. Sometimes society blames the individual needing aid but that individual exists and maybe some of the fault belongs to them and maybe they made some mistakes along the way. That individual still needs help.
The second verse is about being glad that I have a bed and pillow and am glad I can sleep celibate and alone but at the same time I wonder what I am missing being in a relationship. There is a dichotomy of being alone or being in a group. It shows it’s self in war which I am an isolationist and in commerce in which I am in favor of no sanctions. Peace is hinged on the fact that if you take care of people and give them a degree of opportunity, a steady job and hope most of the problems in the world will cease to exist.

As I was walking out by downstairs window this feeling hit me down by the ghetto fallen back again
Again again again again
In this feeling sometimes walking willow summer days come and tell her so come back again again again again.
2)Verse In the Key of C
A D Bb C G Ab A
Sun comes up on another day always gone locked at bay the morning brings the state new time the more they waste the more they rhyme.
The longing reaches a high pitched cry as the fat cat opens one eye the truth had locked them inside telling them they had to abide

3)Chorus In the Key of C +Ab
I say why do you lie
to be is not up to you or I
I am the only one who wakes up
@ the Morning @ Molokai fear in the sky

As I was dreaming beneath the weeping willow falling asleep with a pillow I am glad I am alone alone alone alone alone
In mean time a walking down by the kitchen thinking about life and what we were missing coming back again again again again again

Sun comes up on another day always gone locked at bay the morning brings the state new time the more the they waste the more they rhyme.
The longing reaches a high pitched cry as the fat cat opens one eye the truth had locked them inside telling them they had to abide
