about

Back to my Soul
The first verse takes place by me spending my summers searching for elementary matter and the answer to fundamental questions of such things like how time effects matter. As well as the perception of rhythm in music or place. Also the statement “cloud of divine” is the hope that divinity or deities will find us hope from up high. It also reminds me of high school searching through my geologist’s teacher’s cupboard box looking at all the different types of rocks and being fascinated by it. I was especially interested in volcanic rocks. I have finished my existence when I can explain as well as I am capable of explaining the unification process of forces mainly the unification of sound and light. My goal is not to be too rich and not to be too poor just to stick to the script, don’t be afraid and do my job as best I can. I think purely interest is the reason why I focus on trying to unite these wavelengths together and I have been doing it since I was 22 years old. Love for a person or a subject matter can transcend time and is the reason we seek beauty, even in wilted winter months flowers save their energy and when spring comes around they will be able to be in full bloom. When enough seasons go by your love will be pure and old. My faith drives me and my time alive is fixed and someday it will reach the eleventh hour. What I accomplish is who I am. What people remember is what I did. I came and left Austin fairly quickly my dreams did not come true. I did not make it at as a musician, not even close I really never felt comfortable enough to even play an open mic gig with the level of talent I had at the time. When I came home I could still feel my soul start to come alive again being back home going downtown by the river, listening to music for the love of it and playing in my room. Sometimes even sleeping on the ground.
A long time ago when I was 20 there is a particular minute that I will always remember when I heard my grandmother whom passed for the first time on the other side. That was the “brand new light” and a connection to heaven that I was referring to in the song. The day I first heard it, I was heading to work up valley and it brought me to tears. I was uncomfortable with the topic of death and it really sickened me to see her in such bad shape before she died. I was almost intimidated by the circumstances and never told her good bye. I go back to my soul to remember her. The chorus is stating that I feel like there is something out here that cannot be seen with the naked eye and we should pay attention to it and respect it.
In the second verse I was thinking to myself what can I do to be purposeful human being one of the few things that came to mind is to spread Jesus the figure to the audience. There is a responsibility that is inherent and that I am ready to support a cause bigger than myself.

lyrics

Throughout summers twisted time rhythm is pure cloud of divine
Searching through the cupboard box unearthed ground cushioned rocks
Finished pure existence through unification process I drew
When you are too rich you got money to give too poor it’s hard to live
Some say money is the root of all evil did you earn it or did you steal
Been walking a lot of years going to walk a lot more
Did I face all of my fears or was I afraid to soar
Love is like a broken flower love is pure love is old
Faith retrieves its eleventh hour that what we say turns to gold
Fallen through broken dreams in the city I began to gleam
So I touched down and the world was all around
The river bends tomorrow like sound I love Napa my home town
music was all I found I sleep with sorrow and hear its sound
1) Verse In the Key of E

Dancing on the freeway I got 3 miles to drive looked into the sky and it came in my mind
Open up your eyes to see a brand new light the more I realize the more I am paralyzed
Back Back to my soul I am gonna try sometime try sometime down my roaoad
Back Back to my heart I am gonna try sometime try sometime too start
2)Chorus In the Key of Eb

There is something out here that feels so fine There's something feels right
Ab Bb Eb D Ab Bb C
There's something out here that feels so nice There's something feels right

3) Jam (Include GD) In the Key of Ab

Last night I was thinking what should I do now
Transcend the figure over the skies somehow
There is a responsibility that lies within
My eyes are crying but my souls ready to begin
Back Back to my soul I am gonna try sometime try sometime down my roaoad
Back Back to my soul I am gonna try sometime try sometime down my roaoad

There is something out here that feels so fine There's something feels right
